HERMAN M. DAVIDOVICZ, Ph.D., ABPP

Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology with Specialization in Child Neuropsychology

Dr. Davidovicz is a pediatric neuropsychologist in practice at Long Island Neuropsychological Consultants in Great Neck, New York, and at the Center for Brain and Behavior at Maimonides Infants and Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He is an Assistant Professor Pediatrics at Downstate Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Hofstra University Medical College. After receiving his Ph.D. from Hofstra, he went on to complete an internship and post-doctoral training in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry at North Shore University Hospital in the current North Shore/Long Island Jewish Health System. He went on to become the Assistant Director at the Center for Neuropsychological Services in that institution, and its Chief of Child Neuropsychology.

Dr. Davidovicz is a Diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology and is Board Certified, with a specialization in Child Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. He is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology, and the International Neuropsychology Society.

Dr. Davidovicz has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of infants, children, adolescents and young adults with a variety of problems that are related to learning, development or behavior. His experience extends to those whose issues are common such as; Learning Disability, ADHD, speech/language or auditory problems, Autistic Spectrum, Head Trauma and Concussion, to more complex issues such as Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Metabolic Disorders, post treatment effects in brain tumors, leukemia and the like. He has written and lectured extensively on many of these topics.
